About Alvin Tanabe
I started taking pictures very early in life, my first camera was a Kodak Brownie Hawkeye. It was really the family camera but I soon assumed ownership of it. As time and technology marched on I, well, the family, got a Kodak Instamatic. Which you guessed it soon became "my" camera.
I could not draw, my words many times could not easily convert the visual scene in front of me and the best way to communicate these moments was through photography. The early interest led me to my first job as a photographers assistant at age 16 and through my years at Art Center College of Design and a career in commercial photography. Today I shoot for myself, the images I create are to tell a story of my travels, capturing moments in my life that I can share with friends. If you enjoy my images, drop me an email or call and thank you for visiting my site.
